Cetrorelix acetate is a synthetic peptide-based drug, belonging to the category of gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor antagonists (GnRH receptor antagonists). It is mainly used to inhibit the premature peak release of luteinizing hormone (LH), and is commonly employed in assisted reproductive technologies (such as in vitro fertilization) to control the ovarian stimulation (COS) phase and prevent premature ovulation of follicles.
