Fosfomycin
Fosfomycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic with a small molecular weight and a unique chemical structure compared to other antibacterial agents. Currently, there are oral formulations of Fosfomycin calcium and Fosfomycin tromethamine, as well as an injectable form of Fosfomycin sodium on the market.
Fosfomycin has a unique structure that does not lead to cross-resistance or cross-allergic reactions with other antibacterial drugs, and can act synergistically with them. It has a broad spectrum of activity and remains effective against several multidrug-resistant bacteria. It also has good penetration and few adverse reactions，and can be used by pregnant women. As multidrug-resistant bacteria continue to increase, phosphomycin may become increasingly important in the future.
