Roxadustat is an orally administered, small molecule hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) prolyl hydroxylase inhibitor for the treatment of anaemia in patients with dialysis-dependent chronic kidney disease (CKD), non-dialysis-dependent CKD and in patients with myelodysplastic syndromes.
